- A bank or card statement showing the payment amount and time.

Take the photos the moment you see the ticket. The timestamps in your phone’s photo metadata add credibility, and coming back days later loses that. If a sign was hidden by tree growth, construction, or another parked vehicle, photograph that too.
What Happens If You Don’t Pay

Georgia’s Department of Revenue can also place administrative holds on your vehicle title and registration for unresolved citation debt reported by the city. That means no renewal, no title transfer, and no registering a new vehicle in your name until the balance is cleared.
Parking tickets themselves don’t appear on your credit report; the three major credit bureaus stopped including this kind of public record years ago. What can hurt your credit is what comes next: if the city sends the unpaid balance to a collections agency, that collections account can show up on your report. Newer scoring models like FICO 9 and VantageScore 4.0 ignore paid collections, but the older FICO 8 model that many lenders still use does not.
