If You Can’t Get Through

Call volume at the Consumer Contact Center is heavy, and the department encourages scheduling a callback through the online scheduler on the unemployment benefits page at portal.ct.gov/dol/unemployment-benefits rather than waiting on hold.1Connecticut Department of Labor. Unemployment Benefits You pick an available time window instead of sitting in a queue.

For written questions, the online case submission portal at ctcc.my.site.com/submit/s/ accepts a written description of your issue and returns a response. For simple questions about claim status or payment dates, this is often faster than calling.

When a callback comes in, answer unfamiliar numbers. Agents make limited attempts, and a missed callback usually means rescheduling from scratch.2WFSB. Some Conn. Residents Struggle With New Unemployment System
