Florida Blue does cover telehealth. Virtual visits are a standard benefit across the insurer’s commercial, Medicare Advantage, and individual ACA marketplace plans, and many members pay as little as $0 for a virtual primary care or behavioral health visit with an in-network provider.1Florida Blue. Virtual Health What you actually pay, and which platform you use, depends on your plan.
What You’ll Pay for a Virtual Visit
Florida Blue markets virtual primary care on many plans as available for “as low as a $0 copay.”1Florida Blue. Virtual Health2Florida Blue. Two exceptions matter. The $0 copay does not apply to Health Savings Account (HSA) plans, and it does not apply to myBlue Simple Choice plans. On those, you pay the same cost-sharing for a virtual visit as you would for an in-person office visit.3Florida Blue. myBlue 20265BCBS Florida. Virtual Visits Overview Flyer
To confirm your own copay, log in to your Florida Blue account and check your plan’s benefits, or call the number on the back of your member ID card.

How to Start a Virtual Visit
You have a few routes. The first is your own doctor: schedule a virtual visit with your primary care provider or specialist if they offer phone, video, or chat appointments. Log in to your Florida Blue account and look under “Find and Get Care” to see which in-network providers offer virtual visits and what your plan covers.1Florida Blue. Virtual Health
For on-demand care, Florida Blue launched BlueVirtualCare on January 1, 2026. What Telehealth Won’t Cover
A few boundaries are worth knowing before you book. Virtual visits must use real-time interactive communication, meaning a live phone call, video call, or chat. Services delivered only by email, text, fax, or mail do not qualify as covered virtual visits.14GuideWell. Virtual Visits Payment Policy
Virtual care is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.1Florida Blue. Virtual Health Providers also refer you to in-person care when a condition cannot be handled remotely.
Watch where you book from. Using a provider found through a third-party digital health app that is not in the Florida Blue network can result in out-of-network charges that you are responsible for.10Florida Blue. Online Tools for Mental Well-Being
