Renewing More Than Six Months After Expiration
Past the six-month mark, the DMV treats the renewal more like getting a license again. What Happens if You Drive on an Expired License
Driving with an expired license is a misdemeanor in West Virginia. A first conviction carries a fine of up to $500.
