How Much Are Passports in Indiana? Fees, Add-Ons, and Payment

Fees by Document and Applicant

Every in-person application splits the bill in two: one payment to the State Department for processing, and a separate $35 acceptance fee to the facility that handles your paperwork. The $35 is the same regardless of age or document.1U.S. Department of State. Passport Fees

First-Time Adults (16 and Older)

  • Passport book: $130 + $35 = $165
  • Passport card: $30 + $35 = $65
  • Both book and card: $160 + $35 = $195

The book is the standard document and is accepted worldwide. The card is wallet-sized and only works for land and sea crossings between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
