The $83 Annual Renewal

A personalized Breast Cancer Awareness plate, a personalized Collegiate plate, and a personalized Environmental plate all cost $83 to keep active for another year.
Skipping the renewal has a specific consequence. One boundary that catches people off guard: you generally can’t transfer a personalized combination to another person. Rejected Combinations Can Delay or Waste Your Order

The DMV reviews every application and rejects combinations it considers offensive or misleading. The refusal criteria go beyond obvious profanity to include sexual connotations, terms of prejudice or contempt toward any group, and anything that misrepresents a law enforcement agency.
