What to Enter on the Portal
You need all three inputs to pull up a result. Your driver’s license number is on your Oklahoma CDL. Your Medical Examiner’s Certificate number is printed on the physical card your examiner handed you after your DOT physical. Date of birth is entered through dropdown menus. Submit the form and the system displays your status.
If you don’t have the certificate number in front of you, look at the paper copy your examiner provided at the end of your last exam. Without it, the portal cannot look up your record.
Reading Your Status

Check the expiration date the portal shows against what you expect. A standard medical certificate lasts 24 months, but several conditions shorten that to 12 months, including high blood pressure controlled with medication, heart disease, insulin-treated diabetes, and vision exemptions. If You Just Had a Physical and Nothing Shows Yet
As of February 17, 2026, Oklahoma no longer accepts paper medical certificates. Your examiner submits electronically through the FMCSA National Registry, and FMCSA transmits the data to Service Oklahoma, which then updates your commercial driving record.1Service Oklahoma. What to Do If the Portal Shows Not Certified
If your status is “Not Certified” and you don’t have a current certificate, you need a new DOT physical from an examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry. If you believe you have a valid certificate that should already be on file and the portal disagrees, email Service Oklahoma at mec@service.ok.gov. The likely explanations are a transmission failure between FMCSA and Service Oklahoma, or an examiner who didn’t complete the electronic submission.
How Long You Have Before a Downgrade
Once your medical certificate expires, Service Oklahoma sends a notice giving you 30 days to provide a valid certificate. If you don’t, your CDL is downgraded to a standard Class D license.5Legal Information Institute.
