How to Fill Out the IID Rebate Form: Documents and Deadlines

The IID rebate form for the Energy Rewards program is submitted online through the Imperial Irrigation District customer portal — there is no mail-in option. You will need your IID account number, a paid-in-full itemized invoice, product details (brand, model, serial number), and, depending on the measure, an AHRI certificate or before-and-after photos. For equipment installed in 2026, the form must be submitted by December 31, 2026.1Imperial Irrigation District. Rebates for My Home

Where to Open the Form

IID offers two ways into the same application:1Imperial Irrigation District. Rebates for My Home

  • If you have an IID online account, log in at myaccount.iid.com/portal and go to the Energy Rewards section.
  • If you don’t have an online account, go to myaccount.iid.com/portal/OuterSavingTips.aspx and apply as a guest using your account number and zip code.

Either path leads to the same form. You need an active residential electric account with IID, and the equipment must be installed at the service address tied to that account.1Imperial Irrigation District. What the Form Asks For

The application collects a handful of fields you should have ready before you start:

  • Your IID account number and service address zip code.
  • The measure you are claiming (HVAC, insulation, appliance, and so on).
  • Equipment details: brand, model number, serial number, and the relevant efficiency ratings.
  • Contractor information, where a contractor performed the installation.

Your account number is printed on your monthly IID electric bill and shown on your online account dashboard.3Imperial Irrigation District. IID Energy Rewards Rebate – Section: Terms and Conditions

Documents to Upload

File uploads happen inside the form. Have these ready as legible PDFs or clear photos before you begin:

  • A paid-in-full invoice or receipt showing the brand, model number, and serial number of the installed product. If a contractor did the work, the invoice must be itemized.3Imperial Irrigation District. IID Energy Rewards Rebate – Section: Terms and Conditions
  • An AHRI certificate showing SEER2 values, required for HVAC systems, gas-to-electric conversions, and ductless mini-splits. Your installing contractor can pull this from the AHRI directory.1Imperial Irrigation District. Rebates for My Home
  • Photos of the completed work for attic insulation (before and after) and radiant barrier (finished installation). Claims for these measures will not be processed without the photos.1Imperial Irrigation District. Rebates for My Home
  • ENERGY STAR certification proof for dual-pane windows, variable-speed pool pumps, room air conditioners, and appliances. This is typically on the product packaging or the manufacturer’s spec sheet.

Several measures also require that the installing contractor appear on IID’s Participating Contractor List at iid.com/ParticipatingContractors. HVAC systems, gas-to-electric conversions, ductless mini-splits, and attic insulation are on that list, though IID allows self-installation as an alternative for some of these.1Imperial Irrigation District. Deadlines

Equipment purchased and installed during the 2026 calendar year must be submitted through the form by December 31, 2026. If you bought and installed qualifying equipment in late 2025 and haven’t yet applied, the cutoff is March 1, 2026.1Imperial Irrigation District. Rebates for My Home

Don’t wait for the last week of December. Portal traffic climbs near the deadline, and if a document is missing or a model number needs correcting, you may not be able to reach your contractor in time.

What Trips Up an Application

A few patterns account for most delays and denials:

  • Model number mismatches between the invoice and the AHRI certificate. Even a small revision difference will hold up processing.
  • Blurry photos of invoices. If the reviewer can’t read a field, they treat it as missing.3Imperial Irrigation District. IID Energy Rewards Rebate – Section: Terms and Conditions
  • Using a contractor who isn’t on IID’s Participating Contractor List for a measure that requires one.
  • Skipping the required photos for attic insulation or radiant barrier.
  • Claiming an evaporative cooler that isn’t on IID’s Qualifying Evaporative Cooler List, or one that is window-mounted rather than permanently installed.

After You Submit

IID staff review the documentation against the requirements for the specific measure claimed. They confirm that the model appears on the relevant qualifying list, that AHRI data matches the invoice, and that required photos are present. If something is incomplete, IID may email the address on file, so watch your inbox — a request for additional documentation that goes unanswered results in denial.

IID does not publish a guaranteed processing timeline. For status questions on a pending application, email EnergyRewards@iid.com or call 760-482-3656.
