Parking tickets are issued by traffic enforcement agents and tucked under your wiper. Don’t grab the wrong number. The ticket also carries a two-digit violation code identifying the type of offense (code 46 for double parking, for example). Camera Violations Mailed to You
Red light, speed camera, and bus lane tickets never appear on your windshield. The city mails a Notice of Liability to the registered owner of the vehicle. Moving Violation Tickets from a Police Officer

Parking and Camera Tickets
You can pull up your NYC violations online using your license plate number, the issuing state, and the plate type (passenger, commercial, or vanity). Why It’s Worth Finding the Number Now

Newly issued tickets can also take several days to appear in the online systems.
