What to Bring

If the original title showed a lien that has been paid off and you want the duplicate to come back clean, bring the original signed lien release card or a notarized lien release from the lender. Same-Day Printing at a Deputy Registrar

How Much It Costs

There is one situation where you owe nothing: if you never received your title from the state, the application was processed less than 180 days ago, and you have not moved since, DVS will issue a duplicate free of charge.7Minnesota Department of Public Safety. If You Are Not in a Hurry: Apply by Mail
You can mail the completed PS2067A with payment to DVS at 445 Minnesota Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101-5187. Minnesota does not offer a fully online duplicate title application. You can fill the form out on a computer, but you still have to bring it in or mail it.
Expedited Service and Its Limits
DVS offers expedited processing for $20 above the standard fees, but it is reserved for extraordinary circumstances, such as a vehicle leaving the state or the country. If DVS decides the request does not qualify, it processes the application at standard speed and refunds the $20.9Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Co-Owners and Power of Attorney

If the Original Title Turns Up Later
