What Counts as a Passing Score

Kansas uses the Uniform Bar Exam, scored out of 400. The passing line is 266.1Kansas Judicial Branch. Bar Exam That total is built from three components:

  • The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), 200 multiple-choice questions covering seven subjects, worth 50% of your score.
  • The Multistate Essay Examination (MEE), six essays, worth 30%.
  • The Multistate Performance Test (MPT), two practical tasks, worth 20%.4National Conference of Bar Examiners. UBE Bar Exam Scores
