When to Call the Main Customer Service Line

Call 1-888-342-6207 if you want to check whether your coverage is active, ask about a pending application, update your address or household information, or start a renewal by phone.¹ Representatives can also tell you which regional office and managed care plan you’re assigned to if you’re not sure.

Choosing or Changing a Health Plan

Most Louisiana Medicaid recipients get coverage through Healthy Louisiana, the state’s managed care system. Renewing by Phone

Louisiana requires Medicaid renewal every year. When your renewal date is coming up, the state sends a letter with instructions and a deadline. What to Have Ready Before You Call
