The (573) 751-2896 line is also the automated IVR. After hours, or when you just need a quick lookup, the menu offers six options:2Missouri Department of Social Services. MO HealthNet Providers Call Us For FREE

  • Press 2 for check amount information
  • Press 3 for claim information
  • Press 4 for provider enrollment status

Option 6 is the path to a live person. Complex billing discrepancies, coding questions, and claims that keep cycling through denials are the kinds of problems that need human review.

Department-Specific Numbers

MO HealthNet routes different types of inquiries to specialized teams. Calling the right line from the start saves the back-and-forth of being transferred.1MO HealthNet Portal. MO HealthNet Division Contact Information

A few of these need a note. The Pharmacy and Medical Pre-Certification Help Desk at (800) 392-8030 handles drug prior authorizations (select option 3) and medical pre-certifications; pharmacy administration questions that aren’t prior authorizations go to (573) 751-6963 instead.1MO HealthNet Portal. Participant Services at (800) 392-2161 is for member-facing questions about coverage, unpaid bills, and provider issues. Give that number to patients; don’t call it for claim status.

For new enrollment, applications are completed online at emomed.com, but the signed provider agreement page still has to be faxed to (573) 634-3105 with any required attachments. Questions during the application process go to (833) 818-1183, and revalidation questions go to (573) 751-5238.3Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance. Missouri Medicaid Provider Enrollment

Managed Care Plan Provider Lines

Many MO HealthNet participants are enrolled in a managed care plan rather than fee-for-service Medicaid. If your patient is covered by one of these plans, billing and prior authorization questions go directly to the plan, not to the state’s Provider Communications line. Check the participant’s MO HealthNet ID card to see which plan they’re on before you dial.5Missouri Department of Social Services. Contact Your Health Plan

  • Healthy Blue: (833) 388-1407
  • Home State Health: (855) 694-4663
  • Show Me Healthy Kids: (877) 236-1020
  • UnitedHealthcare: (866) 292-0359

Reaching out to the wrong entity is one of the most common reasons for a runaround on claim inquiries. The state cannot resolve a managed care claim, and the plan cannot resolve a fee-for-service claim.

When to Skip the Phone

Not every question needs a call. The eMOMED portal at emomed.com lets you submit, adjust, or research fee-for-service claims, check participant eligibility, view prior authorization status, and access remittance advice. It also has a messaging tool for claim and eligibility questions, which gives you a written record of every inquiry — useful when a dispute drags on.6Missouri Department of Social Services. CyberAccess is the separate portal for electronic pre-certification requests. It can automatically reference a participant’s claim history, including diagnosis and procedure codes, to streamline the request. For technical trouble with CyberAccess, the Conduent Help Desk at (573) 632-9797 is the right call.6Missouri Department of Social Services. MO HealthNet Navigating Provider Resources
