Oasis San Francisco Charge: What It Is and How to Stop It

An “Oasis San Francisco” charge on your bank or credit card statement almost always comes from Oasis Credit, a cash advance app run by Kikoff Inc., a fintech company based in San Francisco. The debit is usually one of three things: repayment of a cash advance you took, an express delivery fee for getting that advance faster, or a $9.99 monthly subscription to the Oasis Plus (or Grant Plus) premium tier.1Oasis Credit. What the Charge Is

Oasis Credit is operated by Kikoff Lending, LLC, a subsidiary of Kikoff Inc. headquartered at 633 Folsom Street in San Francisco. The app lets users borrow between $25 and $250 against upcoming income, with repayment pulled automatically from a linked bank account or debit card.1Oasis Credit. Terms of Service2Google Play. Three kinds of debits move through those brands and show up on statements referencing Oasis and San Francisco:

  • Repayment of the principal advance, pulled by ACH or debit card when the app detects an incoming deposit or on the scheduled due date.1Oasis Credit. Terms of Service
  • An optional instant or express delivery fee, $1 to $8 under the Oasis brand and $2 to $21 under the Grant Cash brand, for funding delivered in about 60 seconds.3Grant Cash. Pricing
  • A $9.99 monthly Oasis Plus or Grant Plus subscription that auto-renews. If the first billing attempt fails, the company may retry for up to 21 business days.1Oasis Credit. Terms of Service

Why It Looks Unfamiliar

The descriptor rarely matches the app name you signed up for. If you downloaded “Grant Cash Advance,” you may not connect a statement line reading “Oasis San Francisco” to the same account. The legal entity behind the debit is Kikoff Lending, LLC or Grant Money, LLC, neither of which uses “Oasis” as a standalone brand.

Timing adds to the confusion. Rather than debiting on a fixed calendar date, Oasis monitors the linked account and pulls the repayment when it detects an incoming deposit, so the withdrawal can hit on a day you weren’t expecting.1Oasis Credit. Terms of Service

The subscription surprises people, too. Users who signed up to borrow may not realize they also enrolled in Oasis Plus or Grant Plus, which continues billing $9.99 a month even when no new advance is taken. Google Play reviews of the Grant Cash app have flagged difficulty canceling and reports of recurring charges that continued after users believed they had ended the subscription.2Google Play. How to Stop the Charges

To stop a scheduled debit, email support@grantcash.com at least three business days before the pull is scheduled and revoke your electronic payment authorization. If you send the request with fewer than three days’ notice, Oasis says it will try to cancel but does not guarantee it.1Oasis Credit. Terms of Service

To end the Oasis Plus or Grant Plus subscription, cancel through the app or contact support at the same email. The company also runs an in-app chatbot and a help center at oasiscredit.zendesk.com.3Grant Cash. Pricing

You can also ask your bank for a stop-payment order on preauthorized electronic transfers. Under federal Regulation E, the bank must honor a stop-payment request placed at least three business days before the scheduled transfer. An oral request can be given, but the bank may require written confirmation within 14 days, and without that follow-up the oral instruction expires.4California Department of Consumer Affairs. One point worth knowing before you decide how to handle a pending advance: Oasis describes its advances as non-recourse. The company says it will not pursue collection or report non-payment to credit bureaus, and the practical consequence of not repaying is losing access to future advances. If an Oasis debit caused an overdraft or NSF fee because the company pulled the wrong amount or on an undisclosed date, the customer agreement says the company will reimburse those fees on request.1Oasis Credit. If You Never Signed Up

If no one in the household opened an Oasis Credit or Grant Cash Advance account, treat the debit as unauthorized. Federal protections differ by card type.

Credit Card Charges

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, liability for unauthorized credit card charges is capped at $50, and most issuers waive that under zero-liability policies. Send a written dispute to the issuer’s billing-inquiry address within 60 days of the statement that shows the charge. The issuer has 30 days to acknowledge and 90 days to resolve, and you are not required to pay the disputed amount or related finance charges during the investigation.5Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

Debit Card and ACH Charges

Debit card and ACH pulls fall under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E. Your maximum liability depends on how fast you report:

  • Reported within two business days: liability is limited to $50 or the amount of the unauthorized transfer, whichever is less.
  • Reported after two business days but within 60 days of the statement: liability can rise to $500.
  • Reported more than 60 days after the statement: unlimited liability for transfers that occur after the 60-day window.

The bank must investigate within 10 business days. If it needs longer, it must provisionally credit the disputed amount (minus up to $50) while the investigation continues, and the full investigation can take up to 45 days for most transactions or 90 days for point-of-sale transfers.6Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. What About the Oasis Nightclub?

There is an Oasis nightclub in San Francisco, but it sells tickets through Eventbrite, and those charges post with an “EB *” prefix rather than “Oasis San Francisco.”8Eventbrite.
