Property Tax: Assessor or Treasurer
Property tax questions split between two offices. Call the wrong one and you get transferred.
The County Assessor at (405) 713-1200 sets your property’s value and processes homestead exemptions.1Oklahoma County. Court Clerk or County Clerk
These two offices sound alike and handle entirely different things.
The Court Clerk at (405) 713-1705 handles everything that moves through the district court: marriage licenses, passports, civil lawsuits, criminal case filings, probate, small claims, traffic tickets, protective orders, court dates, fines, and jury service.1Oklahoma County. The County Clerk at (405) 713-1540 handles real estate filings, deeds, liens, UCC filings, and payroll for the Board of County Commissioners.1Oklahoma County. Courts, Prosecution, and Law Enforcement
For docket questions, bond amounts, or filing a civil case, start with the District Court Clerk at (405) 713-1705.6Oklahoma State Courts Network. Elections
The Oklahoma County Election Board at (405) 713-1515 handles voter registration, polling locations, and absentee ballot requests for federal, state, county, municipal, and school district elections.1Oklahoma County. Health Department
Public health is not part of county government. The Oklahoma City-County Health Department operates separately and can be reached at (405) 425-4400 for food safety and environmental health complaints, immunizations, restaurant inspections, and health permits. Social Services
