Even if you plan to pay, take a few minutes to watch the video first. It shows your car’s approach to the intersection and the signal state as you crossed the stop bar. If the plate image is unclear, the vehicle is not yours, or the timing looks off, that is the evidence a hearing would turn on.
Contesting the Ticket

What Happens If You Ignore It
An unpaid ticket does not go away. Miss the response deadline and the court can enter a default judgment, adding court costs and assessments to the original $85.
