Florida loads SNAP benefits onto your EBT card on one fixed day each month between the 1st and the 28th, and the Florida EBT deposit schedule assigns that day based on two digits inside your 10-digit case number.1Florida Department of Children and Families. Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Card Your date does not move from month to month, and funds are available by 6:00 a.m. on that day.
Find Your Deposit Day From Your Case Number
Your date is tied to the 8th and 9th digits of your Florida case number, read in reverse. Here is the quick method:
- Write out your full 10-digit case number.
- Ignore the 10th (last) digit.
- Take the 9th digit, then the 8th digit, in that order. That gives you a two-digit number from 00 to 99.
Example: for case number 1234567890, drop the final 0, then read the 9th digit (9) followed by the 8th digit (8) to get 98. Look up 98 on the chart below.

Weekends and Holidays
Benefits post once a day, by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled date. The EBT system runs every day of the year, so a Saturday, Sunday, or federal holiday does not push your deposit forward or back. If your day is the 15th and the 15th is a Sunday, your SNAP still loads that Sunday morning.1Florida Department of Children and Families. Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Card
Cash Assistance and SUNCAP Follow a Different Schedule
If you also receive Temporary Cash Assistance or SUNCAP food benefits (for SSI recipients), those post on a separate three-day cycle using the same reversed 9th-and-8th-digit number:
- 00–33: 1st of the month
- 34–66: 2nd
- 67–99: 3rd
Households that receive both SNAP and cash assistance will usually see the two deposits land on different days.
If Your Deposit Does Not Show Up
If your balance has not changed by mid-morning on your scheduled day, first re-check your date. It is easy to miscount digits or read them in the wrong order. Then confirm the balance directly through the ebtEDGE cardholder portal at ebtEDGE.com or by calling EBT Customer Service at 1-888-356-3281, the number printed on the back of your card. The automated line reads your balance back after you enter your 16-digit card number.3ebtEDGE. Cardholder Log In4Florida Department of Children and Families. EBT Assistance
If the deposit is genuinely missing, contact the Florida Department of Children and Families through that same customer service line, with your case number and card number ready, or log into MyACCESS at myaccess.myflfamilies.com to review your case and submit an inquiry.
For an unauthorized transaction or a deposit error, you have 90 calendar days from the date of the problem to request an adjustment. The state agency is required to act on adjustment requests filed within that window, and waiting past 90 days can mean losing the ability to recover the funds.5eCFR. 7 CFR Part 274 – Issuance and Use of Program Benefits
Unspent Benefits Roll Over, With One Catch
Anything you do not spend in a month stays on your card and adds to next month’s deposit. Balances do not reset on the 1st. The one catch: if your EBT card goes completely unused for nine consecutive months, the state is required to remove the remaining balance. You will get a 30-day notice before that happens.
Using your card at least once inside any nine-month window, even for a small purchase, keeps the account active. If you cannot shop yourself, a trusted authorized representative making a purchase on your behalf has the same effect.
