Georgia EBT cards reload with SNAP benefits on a staggered schedule between the 5th and 23rd of each month, and your specific date depends on the last two digits of your client ID number. Once your date is set, it stays the same every month. You can find your client ID on correspondence from the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS). Benefits post to your account early in the morning on your scheduled day.

First-Time Applicants: When Your Initial Deposit Arrives
If you just applied, your first deposit does not follow the monthly schedule above. Georgia finalizes your application and then authorizes your initial benefits during the next nightly processing cycle, and the funds post shortly after. Your first allotment is prorated based on your application date, so applying mid-month produces roughly half a month’s benefits. If approval takes longer than one month, the deposit also includes back-pay for the months between your application and approval dates.2Policy and Manual Management System (PAMMS). 3810 Issuance – Section: Initial Month Issuance
Households that qualify for expedited processing must have benefits available in their EBT account within seven calendar days of the application date. Identity verification is the only requirement before those benefits are issued, and expedited service is reserved for households with very low income or resources.3Policy and Manual Management System (PAMMS). 3110 Expedited Application Processing
One boundary to know: if your prorated first-month amount works out to less than $24, it is not issued at all. Your first real deposit will instead be the full monthly allotment on your next scheduled reload date based on your client ID.4Policy and Manual Management System (PAMMS). 3810 Issuance – Section: Prorating Initial Month Benefits

What To Do If Your Deposit Doesn’t Show Up
First, recheck the last two digits of your client ID against the schedule. This is where most confusion comes from, especially if you recently received a new ID number. Then give it a full 24 hours past your expected reload date before escalating, since processing occasionally runs behind.
If the money still has not appeared, call the EBT customer service line at 1-888-421-3281 to confirm whether benefits were actually posted. A deposit can arrive while a separate card issue blocks access, and that is a different problem than a missing deposit.6Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Family & Children Services. For case-related delays, call the DHS Customer Contact Center at 1-877-423-4746. Deposits can be held up by administrative processing, a change in your eligibility status that triggered a review, or a missed recertification deadline you may not have noticed.8Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Family & Children Services.
