A Wyoming state ID card costs $10, is issued by the Wyoming Department of Transportation, stays valid for eight years, and is already REAL ID compliant for domestic air travel.1Wyoming Department of Transportation. Identification Cards You apply in person at a Driver Services office with proof of identity and two documents proving your Wyoming address. The permanent card arrives by mail in roughly four to six weeks.
Who Qualifies
Any Wyoming resident can apply. The one firm rule: you cannot hold a Wyoming ID card and a driver’s license at the same time, and you cannot hold a REAL ID-compliant credential from another state. If you have one, surrender it before the department will issue your ID.2Justia.
